- Deck PreparationWe remove the existing roof covering and clean the deck down to dry, structurally sound timber, OSB, or plywood. Ensure the surface is free of sharp debris and residual bitumen.
- Membrane RelaxationOur registered roofers unroll the EPDM membrane and leave it in place for 30–60 minutes so it can settle and flatten, reducing wrinkles and creases.
- Bonding and SmoothingWe fold back the membrane, apply water-based adhesive to the main deck, then roll the membrane back into position. Sweep or broom the surface to smooth it out and expel trapped air.
- Perimeter and Trim SealingOur team carefully apply the contact adhesive along the outer 150 mm edges and upstands. Trim away excess membrane, then mechanically secure the UPVC or metal edge trims with polytop nails.

- Fully Adhered EPDM SystemWe bond the EPDM membrane to a prepared roof deck or compatible insulation board using specialist adhesives. The membrane is smoothed to remove air bubbles, while edges, joints and upstands are sealed for a watertight finish. This method suits many domestic flat roofs.
- Mechanically Fastened EPDM SystemWe secure the membrane using specialist screws, fixing plates or approved fastening systems. Correctly positioned fixings provide reliable attachment and wind resistance, making this method suitable for selected domestic and commercial roofs.
- Ballasted EPDM SystemWe lay the membrane loosely over the prepared roof and hold it down with suitable gravel, stone or concrete pavers. This method suits certain larger flat roofs where the structure can safely support the additional weight.
